Eric and Megan
(The coaches)
We met on the campus of Pittsburg State University. I noticed him right away! But I had also said that the next guy I dated was going to be a football player. You can imagine how excited I was to find out he was OLB, #46! It was either sit by him or the crazy lady in class, and I decided to sit by him. The rest is history! We began dating in September of '97, both graduated with Education degrees the fall of '98, were engaged July 4th of '99, and married January 8th, 2000. We've been blessed with 4 adorable, funny, and energetic boys.
I love my "team"!
Cade
(#1 in birthing order, #3 in your program)
Our first born! He's athletic, funny, and has kept us on our toes since the day he was born! He's our New Years Eve baby! His claim to fame right now is having been in the NICU at birth and the PICU just last year ('10). Cade was born with a ball in his hand and has known nothing else. He's our avid sports player, loving whatever sport is in season and always, ALWAYS giving it 110%! And no matter how old he's getting, he still wants hugs. Those hugs remind me just how fast he's growing, because he's now up to my shoulders.
Cooper
(#2 in birthing order!)
Coop is our lovey child. He's the mother hen to his younger brothers, and Cade's #1 fan! Cooper always has a smile on his face and wants to make everyone happy and proud of him! He's big in to LEGO, wearing all the LEGO shirts we can find. He's also a diva...always wanting to look good for the ladies. He'll go through 3-4 shirts before finding just the right one to wear to school. He's our talker, our helper, and our imaginative one! He can make your heart melt with his many freckles and infectious smile.
Carston
(#3 in birth order, and our 1st surprise!)
We found out we were having Carston on Mother's Day of '07. What a gift! Carston...yes Carson, but with a "T", is our blond hair, skinny kid. Rarely will he eat dinner, but throw him a piece of chocolate and he'll get after it. Carston came 3 weeks early and was our smallest child. But don't let that fool ya. He may be little, but he can be a devil! Thank goodness for his curls (now waves) and smile because sometimes it's the only thing that keeps me from killing him. He'll push ya to see how far he can go. He's our "reserved" child! The simple things like getting his hair cut, teeth cleaned, or going #2 on the toilet can sometimes be traumatizing for him. (Once again, thank goodness he has a great smile!)
Colton
(Last but not least!)
Colton was a total shocker, if that's possible since we've already had 3 by now. I just knew Colton was our girl, but we flipped a coin before heading in for the sonogram and 4 times in a row Eric flipped tails. It was then that I knew we'd see a 3rd leg for the 4th time and my dreams of my brown/pink nursery went out the window. Not 10 minutes later we got our first glimpse of Mr. Colton.
Colt is our snuggler! He LOVES to just sit in your lap and watch football, movies, HGTV, or whatever we're watching at the time. He's got a great smile and an amazing laugh. And while he can be all loving one minute, he can change temper as quick as Cooper changes shirts. He'll headbutt whatever is closest to him, he screams, hits, and isn't afraid to bite. He's the 4th boy and has already learned how to protect himself. And while that little temper of his is a little much, the hugs and snuggles he gives helps to make you forget.
